Welcome to Luxe Lash!
Alissa is a talented lash artist with a passion for precision and creativity. She received her initial training and certification in Los Angeles. She now works in Gaithersburg offering lash extensions, lash lifts, and tint among other services tailored to each person’s unique style. Whether clients are looking for a subtle, natural lift to dramatic, voluminous lashes Alissa ensures each set is meticulously crafted while making sure your natural lashes stay healthy.
Sanitation and safety are top priorities. Alissa follows strict hygiene protocols. Clients can relax knowing she adheres to the highest industry standards, providing not only beautiful results but also peace of mind. She is certified with Yumi Lashes, Nova Lash, and Sen Lashes for lifts and extensions.
She lives in the DMV area with her husband and two teenage children. Alissa is excited to welcome new clients in her chair where artistry meets skill in every service.

What are eyelash extensions?Eyelash extensions are individual synthetic lashes of different lengths, curls, and weights (thicknesses) cut in the shape of a natural lash and applied one-by-one to each individual natural lash as an "extension" of your natural lash. Lash extensions are not strip lashes, clusters, or flares. Lash extensions are meant to lengthen, thicken, and enhance the natural lash line. You will feel no pain, discomfort, or lash loss when applied properly.

How long does it take to apply lash extensions?It can take up to 2 ½ hours for a full set of lashes to be applied for the first visit. The normal human eye has 60-120 lashes per eye. Volume lashes are a longer application that takes closer to 2-1/2 hours. The more lashes that you have, the more extensions I can apply! This is a meticulous procedure that requires patience and concentration. Therefore, it is important not to rush the process so that you can leave with a perfect set of lashes! You will be relaxing with your eyes closed, and you will feel no pain as this is a non-invasive procedure. Many of my clients are so relaxed that they often fall asleep!

Will eyelash extensions damage my natural lashes?When lashes are correctly applied, they cause no damage to your natural lashes. Perhaps the largest misconception when it comes to lash extensions is the idea that they will harm your natural lashes. Let's clear that up--they will not. As with many of the notes above, if applied properly, eyelash extensions will not ruin the health of your natural eyelashes. The most important item to consider is your eyelash artist. Make sure that they are documenting the health of your lashes and updating you during each service. If the proper lengths and thicknesses are selected, no harm should come to your natural lashes.

How do I prepare for my visit?Avoid caffeine/stimulants up to four hours before your appointment. This will keep your eyes from shaking during the service. Don’t drink a lot of fluids so you won’t need to get up. Arrive with clean eyelashes. All makeup especially mascara should be removed prior to appointment. The base should be as clean as possible for proper adhesion. Avoid using oil-based products on and around the eyes especially prior to an appointment. Bring headphones. Many people enjoy listening to their own music or podcast to relax.

What is a lash lift?A lash lift eliminates the need for a lash curler. It doesn't use synthetic lashes, it is the augmentation of your natural lashes. A solution is used to lift and curl your lashes, making them appear longer and more shapely. It lasts 4-8 weeks and there is minimal upkeep. You can also get a tint to make your lashes darker, giving a faux mascara look.
